Checkpoint Jsbmha and Hipaa Case Study
Checkpoint: JSBMHA and HIPAA Case Study Phoebe Edwards Carrie Cooper 4/18/13 1. How does HIPPA serve to secure patient rights? A patientââ¬â¢s wellbeing data can be imparted to specialists and emergency clinics for treatment and care. The data can likewise be imparted to relatives who the patient has allowed to get to the patientââ¬â¢s records. HIPPAââ¬â¢s rules clarify precisely what data about patients is ensured. Called PHI, this data incorporates whatever would distinguish a patient, from name, Social Security numbers and addresses to more extensive identifiers like race, age and home state.Information about the personââ¬â¢s medicinal services needs or clinical history is additionally viewed as PHI. HIPPA rules direct that this data can't be shared aside from specifically cases, including when the individual patient demands their very own data, or when protection examination by the Department of Health and Human Services requires it. 2. What regions of the JSBMHA did HIPAA consistence sway? HIPPA greatly affects the patientsââ¬â¢ rights, all zones of the JSBMHA is influenced by these two people. It influenced the patients, and put the organization in an ungainly position. It influenced the grandma which she can make others mindful about what occurred and this could influence the office contrarily. Individuals who are engaged with the organization could cause individuals to feel awkward about giving them any data. What's more, this mean any data isn't sheltered at JSBMHA, and the trust has been damaged. 3. What activities should the JSBMHA chief take about the HIPAA infringement? I believe that them two ought to get suspended, this is a genuine infringement. They have put JSBMHA in an extremely terrible circumstance and have lost the trust of the family.Jim know better ,since he has been with JSBMHA for quite a while, longer then Betty, he ought to have disclosed to her that she ought to have not be discussing these customers outside of the wor kplace. I believe that Jim ought to get terminated in light of the fact that he know ââ¬Ës better, in the wake of being at the JSMHA for a long time is quite a while to be with JSMHA and it is all that could possibly be needed chance to know and comprehend the standards. Jim should be a guide to Betty, somebody who Betty can gain from. JSMHA should terminated Jim and Betty on the grounds that Jim didn't tell about the HIPAA rules.

Mericans :: World Literature Sandra Cisneros
In the short story Mericans by Sandra Cisneros, we have all the earmarks of being finding out about a little spot in Mexico. The creator utilizes numerous subtleties in the story for us to picture the social condition. The blend of Spanish words in the story, for example, La Virgen de Guadalupe and la ofrenda give the feeling of an alternate culture. The utilization of the dreadful grandma stooping at mass causes you to envision a particular legacy and social conduct. Barbarian that the grandma uses to depict the origin of the youngsters, likewise brings up social contrasts. It appears the creator is attempting to bode well a local culture, and not to make suppositions dependent on physical characters. The terrible grandma (Cisneros p.30) is a case of an individual in the story living in two social universes, while she sticks to her social legacy, she despite everything wouldn't like to acknowledge the American culture of the kids. The youngsters, in the story, may look like Native Americans or Mexicans, however their fundamental language is English. The youngsters additionally use instances of American culture with the comic characters, Streak Gordon and Ming the Merciless. The kids in the story grasp a greater amount of the American culture than a local culture with the utilization of the comic characters. The young lady will in general battle understanding her grandmas social legacy, and it appears to require her a considerable amount of exertion doing it. The youngsters appear to be content playing and continuing without the trouble of what the grandma is doing, and they have no references to saints of their local culture. The story will in general have a recognizable setting to me, one that I am near, particularly with the kids going around and playing joyful. My grandma is very strict and she likewise does a significant number of the things that the grandma in the story does.

I will begin again.
I will begin again. DID YOU KNOW? Takeshi Kaga, the flamboyant chairman from Japans Iron Chef, originated the role of Jean Valjean in the Japanese production of Les Miserables. If you own the 10th Anniversary Concert DVD, you can see him in the Valjeans of the World medley at the end. It always struck me as kind of odd that they picked Do You Hear the People Sing? as the song for this medley, since thats pretty much the one song in the entire show that Valjean never sings at all. I was Javert in my high schools production, remember. I will get to posting integral answers soon! Based on a comment I got yesterday, there are still people working and I dont want to spoil the fun. By the by, I found out the average on that 10.302: Transport Processes final from last year that I was so worried about. It was a 68. out of 200. Speaking of things that have mutilated me recently, I posted the much-requested before picture in my last entry. Given the locations of our cuts, I would say that thekeri and I are now hand twins. That is the only episode of Friends that I have ever seen all the way through. No lie. But onward to business. Today was the second day of classes and I have now had every class in my schedule at least once. Here are my initial thoughts and impressions a la last semester. 6.002: Circuits and Electronics I dont know much about circuitry, and there are enough things marked HIGH VOLTAGE in my UROP laboratory that I think it might be time to familiarize myself with some of it. On thing thats strange about taking this class is being in a class with more males than femalessince the gender ratio in Course 10 is about 1 male for every 2 females, I sometimes forget that the actual MIT gender balance is closer to 53-47 or something like that. 10.26: Chemical Engineering Project Laboratory YES! We had 15 projects to choose from for this class, and I got one of the two advised by Professor Virk. I love Professor Virk. He would wear a North Face jacket to class every day for 10.301: Fluid Mechanics. Inevitably, he would find it a little stuffy in the room and remark, in his unbelievable Indian accent: Oh, I think I must take a page from the book of NELLY! Because it is getting HOT in HERE! We thought this was the only thing he knew about modern music, but during one recitation, after taking off his jacket, he surprised us with: Ha ha ha, were any of you watching the GRAMMYS last night? I must say, NELLY was not doing so HOT out there! Most of the awards were going to Mr. USHER! No lie. Later he explained to us that since coming to America, he has always learned new English expressions through popular music, starting from The Beach Boys Help Me Rhonda and continuing up to the present day. Anyway, our project involves polymeric additives in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, and my three-member group is already quite ambitious (Lets do a really good job on this; maybe we could get our name on a publication!). However, another group gets to explore the heating of Subway sandwiches in an industrial oven. As Paris Hilton would say if she were a little more clever (and not paid to endorse Burger King), Thats hot. 10.32: Separations Processes Today in class we explored mass transfer as applied to brewing coffee. 10.37: Chemical Kinetics and Reactor Design Most classes at MIT are 12 units (corresponds roughly to a 4 unit class at other universities; youre expected to spend about 12 hours on the class between studying and written work). From class today, paraphrased: Student: Why is this a 9-unit class? How does it compare to 10.302 [a 12-unit class]? Professor: Well, basically the only reason is because Course 10 exceeded the credit limit for the number of credits you could require for an undergraduate major, so we had to pretend we were cutting out 3 hours somewhere. 21F.402: German II I was hoping for a little review of German I, but no such luck here. The first chapter is about recycling, and I have already learnt such useful words as umweltfreundlich (environmentally-friendly). Im really excited about learning from somebody whose first name is Dagmar. Dagmar! 21M.401: Concert Choir It should be another fantastic semester; were doing Brahms German Requiem and the whole choir gets to go to Switzerland as part of a choral exchange program! Unfortunately, Im already going to be in Germany at the time, so I probably wont be able to attend. The ironing is delicious. Also of note: WILG, the Womens Independent Living Group gives out free cookies on the first day of classes. Because they are awesome. Legend has it that many years ago WILG and some fraternity, lets say Zeta Psi, had a cook-off/eat-off competition. WILG would cook something, and the 40-ish men of Zeta Psi would have to eat all of it. WILG would win if they could cook more than Zeta Psi would eat. Undaunted, WILG prepared one thousand chocolate chip cookies. I dont think Zeta Psi ever spoke of the incident again.

Anti Abortion Essay - 2212 Words
Since the Darwinian Revolution of the 19th century our society has turned upside down. Everything under the sun had become questionable, the origin of life, how we came to be, where are we headed and what to do in the here all became questions in life. But one of the greatest impacts of this new age thinking is its effect on our Old World values. Western societies values, morals and ethics became debatable, with some people striving for change and others clinging for stability. Battle lines had been drawn and the Liberals and Conservatives were ready to duke it out on a number of issues. One of these debates centers on a woman?s right to have and abortion. According to the Webster?s dictionary and abortion is defined as a miscarry,â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦The Biblical understanding of life isn?t the only religious argument that opposes abortion and its practice. Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and many other world faiths have a similar stance on the topic at hand. Hinduism claims tha t the soul enters the embryo at the time of conception and abortion should hence be outlawed except in the case of rape or incest. Buddhism takes a similar stance and claims abortion is ?murdering?, yet also states that each case should be individually analyzed. Islam considers abortion as a moral crime and sees life (its start finish) as the jurisdiction of God. Islamic law states that abortion is illegal except in those situations in which the woman?s life is in jeopardy. The question that arises after examining these numerous perspectives is how can these practices which violate or threaten our fundamental beliefs be tolerated? The critics of the ant-abortion perspective, ?pro-choice?, have arguments of their own. First and foremost they argue that biblical law and its perspectives are codes of life for believers and in a pluralistic society this view shouldn?t be a reference or a deciding factor. One could imagine how it would be to have another foreign view imposed on us so why would anyone impose their views on others or the society at large? Other pro-choice arguments have went to claim that abortion isn?t immoral because morality is subjective hence people decide on their own what isShow MoreRelatedAbortion : Abortion And Anti Abortion1624 Words à |à 7 Pagesa very large controversy between the ideas about abortion and anti-abortion. Journal Analysis Industrial Materials and Process Free Essays
Increasing concern with fuel consumption leads to widespread interest in lightweight structures for transportation vehicles. Several competing technologies are available for the structural connections of these structures, namely welding, mechanical fastening/riveting, and adhesive technologies. Great interest is dedicated to welding of lightweight structures, particularly because of economic reasons derived of part count reduction, faster and cheaper fabrication, and possible weight gains. We will write a custom essay sample on Journal Analysis: Industrial Materials and Process or any similar topic only for you Order Now However, drawbacks of welding include variation of properties in the welcomed area, intrinsic metallurgical difficulties sibyl leading to unacceptable defects, as well as, from a mechanical design point of view, possibly detrimental fatigue behavior features associated with the continuous path of crack propagation. Crucial factors for the application of new technologies are the cost. Especially for the substitution of metals by light weight alloys beneath all technological properties of the economic aspects have to be considered. Currently the technological processes receiving more widespread interest in metallic lightweight structures are laser beam welding (LB) and friction stir welding (FSP). According to E. Schubert, M. Classes ET. AL Light weight components are of crucial interest for all branches that produce moving masses. The aim to reduce weight has to be accompanied by high production efficiency and component performance. Laser beam Joining offers the possibility to manufacture Joints of all light metals and their combination. Laser welding is a high energy beam process and in this regard is similar to electron beam. With that exception they are unlike one another. The energy density of the laser is achieved by the concentration of light waves not electrons. The laser output is not electrical, does not require electrical continuity, is not influenced by magnetism, is not limited to electrically conductive materials and in fact can interact with any material whether it be metal, plastic, wood, ceramic, etc. Finally its function does not require a vacuum nor are x-rays produced. Friction-stir welding (FSP) is a solid-state Joining process (the metal is not melted) that uses a third body tool to Join two facing surfaces. Heat is generated between the tool and material which leads to a very soft region near the FSP tool. It then eugenically intermixes the two pieces of metal at the place of the Joint, then the softened metal (due to the elevated temperature) can be Joined using mechanical pressure (which is applied by the tool), much like Joining clay, or dough. It is primarily used on aluminum, and most often on extruded aluminum (non-heat treatable alloys), and on structures which need superior weld strength without a post weld heat treatment. Methodology of the Researches According to the Journal of R. Brushstrokes et al. Joining technology of lightweight dissimilar metals between magnesium and aluminum alloys are essential for legalizing hybrid structure cars and other engineering application. In the present study, the normal center line welding of lap Joint was carried out by laser welding. It was found that the intervocalic layer formed near interface between two metals significantly degraded the Joining metal, which contributes to control thickness of intervocalic compound layer. Based on the result of FEM. analysis, the edge line welding of lap Joint was carried out, which could easily control the thickness of intervocalic layer and successfully obtained high Joining strength. In comparison with the Journal of R. Brushstrokes et al. According to T. Mortising et al. Macrostructure and mechanical properties of dissimilar welding Joint between AY alloy and MGM alloy by laser welding was very brittle because of building up MGM AAA intervocalic compounds in fusion zone. On the other hand, FSP is anticipated to welding dissimilar alloys AY alloys and GAZA magnesium alloy with various tool rotational speed and welding speed. These joints showed higher hardness in their stir zones than that of parent GAZA alloy because of MGM-AY inter metallic compound formation. Over, the harness of stir zone was lower than that of fusion zone of laser welding, and was changed with the welding parameter of tool rotational speed and welding speed. In accordance with R. Brushstrokes et al. O the problem of intervocalic compound, another approach to control intervocalic compound formation has to be developed for Joining magnesium and aluminum alloys. The controlling penetration depth of molten in lap Joint configuration might be a possible approach for reducing intervocalic compound formation, in the present study laser welding between agencies alloy GAZA B and aluminum AY-O was carried out. Since the penetration depth of molten metal in lap Joint will be one of importan t factor for controlling the thickness of intervocalic compound layer. Results and Findings of the Researches In accordance with R. Brushstrokes et al. After tensile-shear tests, it was found that failure occurred inside intervocalic compound layer, which degraded strength of the Joint. The maximum failure load and strength obtained for the welding lap Joint were NON and 20 Amp. This failure load is about 37% of yield load of AY-O alloy. Results of the tensile test of T. Mortising et al. The tensile strength of base was 244 Amp in aluminum alloy and 241 Amp in magnesium alloy. The Joint efficiency was achieved 61% of the strength of the base material. FSP has several disadvantages. As it is a solid state process, a great amount of tool wear takes place during the plunging stage as the work piece material is cold at this time. Weld speeds in FSP are slower which can lead to time-consuming Joining process. As higher weld forces are required during this process, equipment used for FSP is massive and expensive. Moreover friction stir welding of high melting temperature materials, such as steel and stainless steel are known to have welding tool limitations. Therefore, the use of standard FSP machines runs into high capital cost requirements and relatively poor productivity. LB has advantages precise working with exact placing of the energy spot, welding of complicated Joint geometry, low heat application, therefore minor changes in macrostructure, low thermal distortion, cavity-free welds, low post weld operation times, large working distance is possible ( welding up to 500 mm distance and also to inaccessible parts).
